Your Dental Implant Options at Morgan Dental Care

Dr. Tim Adamchuk explaining dental treatment options at Morgan Dental Care in Gorham, ME

If you have been told you need a dental implant, the next question is usually some version of “is this the right place to do it?” That is the right question. Implants are a long commitment, and the practice you choose shapes the experience and the outcome more than the implant brand or the surgical technique. Here is how we think about implant work at Morgan Dental Care, and how to know whether we are the right fit for yours.

You Deserve to Understand Every Option

Dr. Tim Adamchuk lays out the three implant pathways we use most often. A single-tooth implant for one missing tooth. An implant-supported bridge when several teeth are missing in a row. An implant-supported denture for full-arch restoration. Same implant principle in each case (a titanium post integrated with the jawbone), different restoration on top.

One detail worth catching from the video: every step happens here, in our Gorham office. Imaging, planning, surgical placement, healing, the final crown or bridge or denture work. You are not handed off to a separate implant surgeon and back again; the same team owns the whole arc. Our full dental implants service page covers the technical side in more depth if you want it.

The Three Pathways, in Plain Terms

Single-tooth implant

One missing tooth. One implant. One crown on top. The neighboring teeth are not touched, which is the main advantage over a traditional bridge that grinds down the teeth on either side. If the rest of your mouth is healthy, this is the most conservative way to handle a single gap.

Implant-supported bridge

For three or more missing teeth in a row, two or three implants can support a bridge that spans the gap. You get the stability of implants without paying for an implant per tooth. We commonly recommend this for patients who lost teeth in an accident or have had a cluster of problem teeth removed together.

Implant-supported denture

For patients facing or already wearing a full denture, implant-supported dentures are a different category of life. Four to six implants per arch lock the denture in place. No adhesive, no slipping at meals, no worrying about a wedding-reception laugh. The bone-preservation benefit is the part most patients underestimate going in: traditional dentures sit on shrinking bone, implant-supported ones do not.

How We Approach the Planning Conversation

Implants are not a generic procedure. The first appointment is a conversation, not a sales pitch. We use 3D imaging to look at your bone density, the shape of your jaw, the position of nerves, and the structure of the teeth around the gap. From that, we lay out the realistic options for your specific case, the realistic timeline, and the realistic cost. If you are not a good candidate, we tell you that early.

Dr. Brett Morgan and Dr. Tim Adamchuk both work on implant cases. Tim leads on most of the surgical placement; Brett often takes the restoration side. The handoff is internal and continuous; you are not telling your story twice.

One patient put it this way: “The best dental care I’ve had in many years. The Morgan Dental Care team was professional and thorough in the evaluation, and the office staff is knowledgeable and caring.” That kind of feedback comes up most often when a patient has had implant work somewhere else and is comparing.

What the Cost Conversation Looks Like

We do not list implant prices online because the right number depends on the case, and a quote based on incomplete information is worse than no quote at all. After the first imaging appointment we can give you a real cost picture: the implant placement, the crown or bridge or denture, the imaging, the follow-up work. We talk through what insurance is likely to cover (and what it usually does not), and we walk through payment options for the part insurance leaves you with.

The dental landscape has changed in the last few years; corporate-owned offices have started recommending implants reflexively, and patients are sometimes quoted procedures they do not actually need. We are independently owned, which means nobody at our office is incentivized to recommend an implant when a different option would serve you better. If a bridge or a partial would do the job, we will tell you that.

Is This the Right Practice for Your Implant?

If you want everything done under one roof, by people who will see you for years after the implant is placed, this is how we work. If you are nervous about the procedure and want a team that will explain each step before doing it, that is also how we work. If you have been quoted by a corporate-owned office and want a second opinion from an independent practice, we welcome that.

If you are looking for the cheapest implant in the region, we are probably not it. We use materials and lab partners we trust, and we charge what those things cost. What we offer in return is the kind of continuity and clinical attention that tends to matter more, ten years in, than the original price.

We believe an implant is a relationship, not a transaction. We believe the practice you choose for the placement should be the practice you trust for the next decade of follow-ups. And we believe a patient who understands their case makes better decisions than one who is rushed through it.
